The 2015 Kennedy Street Festival will be held on June 20, 2015 from 11:00 to 3:00. We’re excited! Are you?
Last year’s inaugural Kennedy Street Sidewalk Festival was a smashing success. Take a look.
This year we’re building on that success and looking forward to drawing on our even wider group of neighborhood supporters as we celebrate 100 years of Kennedy Street NW.
We encourage you to follow us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/KennedyStreetNW) to get regular updates and teasers. If you’re interested in taking part in the festival in some way, read on below to see how you can be involved.
If you are a resident…
- …interested in checking out the festival, then come on out to Kennedy Street from 11am to 3pm on June 20th. We’ll have volunteers stationed at the intersections at 3rd, 5th and Georgia ready to answer questions, but this day is all about walking along Kennedy and meeting neighbors – so put on your good walking shoes, your sunscreen, and your neighborly smile. We’ll see you out there!
- …interested in volunteering to help out the day of the festival for part of the time, please email us at Contact@KennedyStreetNW.org and let us know. We’ll find a way that you can contribute to the efforts of the day!
- …interested in donating to support the day, please check out our Indiegogo campaign at http://igg.me/at/KennedyFestival2015 – our campaign there has much more detail on what we’re raising money for, why we’re working through private citizen donations rather than corporate donations, etc. No amount is too small, so even if you only have $5 or $10 to spare, we appreciate your support in keeping up this tradition to celebrate Kennedy Street.
If you are an existing local business or organization on Kennedy Street and you haven’t already heard from us but are interested in being involved in the festival, please email us at Contact@KennedyStreetNW.org and we’ll get back to you right away!
If you are a local artist, artisanal product maker, or entertainer interested in participating in the festival, please submit an application (see link below) by June 7th. You can also email us at Art@KennedyStreetNW.org with any questions.
If you are a food truck interested in participating in the festival, please email us Contact@KennedyStreetNW.org.
We encourage you to check back with this page regularly, and follow us on Facebook, for more updates.
